O’Connor seeks Trustee position
for Oakland Community College

On November 4, 2014, we will be voting for more than just the Governor.

Hello.  My Name is Dennis Paul Francis O’Connor, and I’m seeking a 6-year term on the Oakland Community College (OCC) Board of Trustees.

Oakland County voters will elect two people from a large field of 11 candidates to serve as a Trustee on the OCC Board.
I’d be honored to serve you as one of them!

I am asking for your support – and vote – because I offer you the experience, knowledge, dedication and PASSION you want from an OCC Board Member.

Currently, I serve as the President of the Novi Board of Education.   I  was first elected to the Novi School Board in November, 2008 and was overwhelming re-elected to the same post in November, 2012.  I was the top vote getter in both elections.  I also serve as a Trustee on the Oakland County School Boards Association (OCSBA) Board of Directors – an elected position of my peers who serve on the 28 local school boards in Oakland County.
Over the years, I have demonstrated what voters expect from a public servant: a hard-working, fiscally conservative person, who is focused on providing the best education possible for our young adults.
I also have a proven track-record as a good steward of taxpayer dollars.  I offer the type of independent, critical thinking on issues that Oakland County voters deserve – and expect – from their Educational Leaders.
I am laser-focused on making sure that your tax dollars are invested properly on student achievement, so our young adults will be properly trained and “career-ready” for 21st Century jobs in a global workforce environment.

Thank you for your consideration.  Don’t forget to vote on November 4!
